Okay, it would make sense that the food we put in our mouths effects the entirety of our body. So, why, by that logic do I love Diet Mountain Dew? Why do I struggle to put real and whole food onto the table every night? Why is it more expensive to buy a pound of apples than a box of PopTarts? And...the real question...why don't things get stale anymore? It used to be that you couldn't leave the chips un-clipped for a half hour or the would go stale. Now, I think you could leave them open for a week and they would still be crispy and tasty. How is this possible?
I'm not sure, but I do want to know more about the business of our food and where it comes from. So, I'm finally getting around to watching Food, Inc. My adventure this week is an easy one. We've had a crazy and busy life since Christmas--and I needed an adventure that challenged my mind more than my schedule!
I hope you'll watch it this week, too. I would love to hear your thoughts about the film on Thursday or Friday! It's available for a 24 hour rental on iTunes for $3.99. Will you watch it and allow your mind to be challenged?
